Coming Soon!CBF Careers Fair and Entry to Tech
It was a huge pleasure to welcome Coding Black Females’ first-ever Bristol Careers Fair recently at our Brunswick Square event space. What a night!
Coding Black Females
Established in 2017, Coding Black Females is a non-profit organisation dedicated to providing opportunities for Black female developers to meet, network, receive support and learn from others in the industry.
Inspiring Talks + Tech Hosts
The evening was an engaging and inspiring mix of interesting talks in the main event space and informative stalls in the breakout area. There was plenty of chance for attendees to explore tech career opportunities with hosts for the night including MadeTech, MotherBoard, Lloyds Banking Group, Ghyston, Sanderson, DigiLocal, Rowden and Babbasa.
Coding Black Females CEO & Founder Charlene Hunter MBE, kicked off the talks sharing insights about Coding Black Females’ mission and journey. Alix from Bloc Recruitment followed, offering guidance on navigating a tech career, from how to identify available roles to landing a job and standing out in the industry. Gemma from Lloyds Banking Group concluded with her talk, ‘This is Me,’ encouraging us to reflect on our career goals, personal development and how to effectively share our stories with others.
Entry To Tech
Check out the upcoming online bootcamp Coding Black Females ‘Entry to Tech,’ starting Tuesday, 1st October 2024. This program is open to ethnic minorities of all genders based in Bristol, Bath, South Gloucestershire or North Somerset, who are committed to working in these areas upon completion.
