On Saturday 8th March, we celebrate International Women’s Day 2025. A day to celebrate the global achievements of women, advocate for gender equality, and inspire more female voices to bring their ideas to the forefront and influence change.
Women in the creative industry are still vastly underrepresented but their contributions are powerful and have the ability to reshape the space in important ways.
Today, we’re celebrating a handful of the female creatives within our community who inspire us with their creativity, leadership, talent and all-round great vibe; a top-notch motion designer, a creative producer, a project manager for creatives, a brand marketer, a writer and a social-first content creator – Gather Round is home to all these brilliant women, plus many more.
Lauren Poole – Copywriter at The Content Poole
Lauren’s a copywriter and content marketer, skilled in helping brands find the right words for their readers. She’s written persuasive, no-nonsense copy for the likes of VisitScotland, Sainsbury’s Bank, Babbel and CleanCo. More recently, she did some great work for us, writing our press releases to promote the launch of the new GR Bath location. Lauren – you’re a legend.
Hannah Odu Cryer – Project Manager at Fiasco Design
Hannah’s an organisational wizard who seamlessly knits all parts of a project from ideation to execution with a combo of charm, grace and good wit. She’s been working closely alongside our Marketing Director, Danie, to oversee all of Gather Round’s graphics, including the rebrand, website and everything in between – we couldn’t have done it without you Hannah!
As an Account Manager at Fiasco Design, she loves working in creative environments to bring great ideas to life. Outside work, you’ll find her exploring and illustrating the landscapes that inspire her. Check out Hannah’s illustration work here.
Rosie Bowers – Motion Designer at Yatta
Whenever we need motion graphic design at GR, Yatta’s our go-to agency and Rosie’s our gal. A talented, fastidious design whiz, Rosie’s adept at creating motion that echoes a brand voice, bringing playfulness to her work through bold colours and glossy textures. She’s brought our brand to life in multiple ways across website and social, she’s a joy to work with, and has many strings to her bow.
Rosie’s a self-confessed Fantasy Tour de France enthusiast and a dab hand at crafts such as crochet and embroidery – to name a few.
Ailis Anderson – Brand & Marketing Manager at Honestly Tasty
Ailis has carved out a dynamic career in marketing and communications at Honestly Tasty, a fast-growing vegan cheese company where she’s been for the past four years. Driven by curiosity, a desire to challenge the status quo, and a deep commitment to make a positive impact— for people and the planet – she’s an inspiring woman to know.
Beyond work, Ailis’ love for food runs deep. Whether she’s baking, cooking, or hosting friends, it’s her way of bringing people together. We’re lucky that we get to enjoy regular samples of the Honestly Tasty cheese that she brings in for our members too. Yum.
Betsy Francis – Instagram Strategist at Grounded Socials
Betsy’s the founder of Grounded Socials, specialists in social media and influencer marketing for wellness brands. With her sharp eye for detail and innate understanding of what makes great content, we’ve entrusted her to deliver all the reels we’ve posted on our new Bath location – and they’ve been doing wonders for our socials.
Betsy brings a strategic approach to help clients increase leads for their business through Instagram. She executes bespoke, no-BS social strategies focused on sustainable growth and meaningful engagement, not vanity metrics, and can be relied on to deliver at pace without compromising quality.
Natasha Bergg – Creative Facilitator and Producer
Natasha’s a ray of sunshine around the co-working space. Her natural people-skills have connected our community to one another better after she designed and facilitated a group version of The Artist’s Way for GR members last year which was a huge success, and one she plans to repeat this year.
Inspired to help people fall in love with nature, Natasha has pivoted from working with marginalised communities through playful participatory arts to producing creative engagement initiatives at WWT. She enjoys interweaving the power of play and creativity to advocate for greater inclusion in this space. She’s often accompanied to work by her graceful greyhound JuJuBee.
The impact of women on the creative industry can be seen everywhere – whether through disruptive designs, ground-breaking stories or fearless leadership that challenges the status quo. We celebrate all women who bring their unique contribution to the space in diverse and different ways, and love having Gather Round filled with so much creative life-force.
This is only a small handful of the phenomenal females who make up our community. Follow us on Insta where we share more profiles on our members in our Meet the Members posts.
